1 Month!

Our little Carson is one month old today!  He is so much fun and he seems to grow a little more each day.  It is so much fun to watch him grow!

It is also our 4 year wedding anniversary today!  Sometimes we just sit back and wonder how we got here.  We feel very blessed and love our growing little family.

Our Boys

Our sweet Carson just makes me smile- except when it's 3 am. When he is awake during the day he always has a happy disposition. It always looks like he is just about to smile- it is so much fun. He is up a lot at night which means we are not getting enough sleep, but our sweet boys are what keep us going during the day.

We are all done with jaundice- we returned the light yesterday, although we haven't been using it for about a week now. But it was nice to know it is gone. We are so grateful we have 2 healthy boys.

Cohen is our fun loving little man. He loves running outside and playing. He has mastered running now so we are enjoying seeing him running up and down our halls. He loves his brother and is constantly giving kisses- I don't know what I'll do if he gets sick because I won't be able to keep him away from Carson. And if you are wondering he is saying "cheese" in this picture.

18 months and 2 weeks

This is technically the first time Cohen actually "held" Carson. For some reason he just laughs the whole time- I don't know what he thinks is so funny, but as you can see Carson is not as excited about the whole thing. Cohen has been so cute with Carson, he always kisses him on the head and now he is trying to say Carson " Carcar"- I love it.

So yesterday was Cohen's 18 months check up and Carson's 2 weeks appt. Good news all around. We were worried about how small Cohen was and possibly were going to test his thyroid. Fortunately Cohen gained 2 1/2 lbs in 3 months so now he is 21 lbs and 32 inches tall which = 2% in weight (at least he's on the charts now) and 42% in his height. Yeah- no testing because he is going so well, but he did have 3 shots and screamed through his whole appt. because he knew they were coming. Carsom is doing well too, he is past his birth weight and now weighs 8 lbs exactly and grew another inch- 20 1/2 incehes so he is 20 % for height and weight. And even better news his jaundice is down to a 12- and so our doctor wants him off the lights for a day and then retest again  on Wednesday to make sure his levels are still going down on their own and aren't relapsing back. So yeah- good news!!

2 Weeks Old

Oh my sweet baby is 2 weeks old. In these pictures his eyes are still yellow because we are still dealing with jaundice- hopefully that will end soon. Of course these pictures were taken late last night when his eyes were open, that's right, why would they be open during the day time? This little guy sleeps all day and keeps us awake all night- he is so mixed up. We try all day to keep him awake, but if any of you have had a baby you know a marching band can go past them and they wouldn't wake up.

Other than that he is a complete angel (knock on wood). He really only cries when he's hungry or going to the bathroom. He's got the sweetest face and I love his little expressions. He actually smiles a lot while he's sleeping- not gas people- good dreams I think. Anyway his smile is so cute, it actually reminds me a lot of Cohen's smile.

So we go in tomorrow to test again for jaundice and his 2 week appt. including his PKU. So we will let you know how it goes.
