BYU DAY!!

For the 3rd year in a row we had a BYU day. Yesterday we drive down to BYU campus and tried not to buy everything at the BYU bookstore. Steve loves to go back and remember the fun college days. Not that we are trying to sway our children to be BYU fans (okay we are- starting them early is the key)- we are just trying to make them excited about college someday!! So on the way down there and on the way back there was terrible traffic- so both kids had had it by the time we got to our destination. Actually on the way back Carson was screaming so hard that we had to pull over and calm him down- poor thing he really doesn't get upset like that often. We got the boys t-shirts and balls, Cohen a hat( as you can tell he still has the stickers on his hat- because he won't let us take it off). So we had an overall good day!
Can't wait for the game next week- GO COUGARS!!!

3 Months- Let the fun begin!!

This is such a happy baby. I love his cute smile, chubby body, and sweet personality. He still gets fussy sometimes- poor baby his tummy hurts him still, but other than that he doesn't get upset. And now he is starting to wake up happy in the mornings- you go and get him in his crib and he just smiles and talks to you- so much fun. It makes waking up in the morning worth it. He weighs about 14 1/2 lbs. so thankfully he is starting to slow down, he was starting to kill my arms. He is just solid not really rolly chunky. I feel like I am putting a diaper on a cinder block. Speaking of which Carson is wearing size 3 diapers and Cohen just switched to size 4- their waists are the same size practically. Carson is starting to grab at toys and he loves being held out so he can discover the world. He loves to talk and sing- I love three months because I think it is when they really start to become really fun. We love our little man!!!

Little Dude at 21 months

It seems that I have just been focusing on Carson with my last couple of blogs. But in fact I have tried to take plenty of pictures of Cohen. 90% of them he is screaming in because all of a sudden having his picture taken just infuriates him (see the middle picture)- that is how most of them look. So I finally compiled a few that look okay.
Our new trick- jumping. That's right, and with both feet off the ground- very impressive. We have a little kangaroo on our hands. He is starting to put 2-3 words together, his little voice is so cute. He is obsessed with any Pixar movie, including: Incredibles (he runs around the house fast like Dash), Toy Story, Cars, Monsters Inc.,- and also not Pixar: Ice Age 1 and 2 and Curious George. You can tell he watches lots of movies- that's how I get anything done.
This is his dark side- if he is angry this is what we see! Temper, temper!!

Several weeks ago we were at Rob and Holly's house and Cohen was playing outside (without our supervision-awesome parenting skills) and he fell of their playset onto the cement face first as you can tell. He was pretty scraped up. Thank heavens aunt Holly patched him up well with this awesome bandaid. And daddy was able to comfort him. What's sad is the next day he woke up and his eye was swollen mostly shut- sooo sad! He kept saying eye eye- I am sure it hurt!

I've Lost My Mind

So this is the correct shirt, but this morning I got Carson dressed in this super cute shirt and shorts that said Friday on it. Obviously today is Wednesday- but for some reason I have totally lost my mind and put on the wrong shirt. After about 1/2 and hour I was cutting his nails and I looked at his shirt and thought wait a minute it's not Friday. So poor kid got dressed twice today- he was a good sport. Good thing I noticed though, or else I would have looked really retarded.

Here is the Friday shirt- oops!

Chunky Monkey

Our happy chunky boy- we just love him so much. He is at least 14 lbs. oh he is sooo heavy. Our doctor tells us "he would just sink to the bottom". I just put away most of his 0-3 month clothes and he is only 2 1/2 months.
He is starting to smile more, and really trying to laugh- he is getting some noise out, but it is so cute. He is sleeping better at night- knock on wood.
Here Steve and Carson are napping together, like father, like son. Steve and Cohen used to do this all the time and so Steve obviously wanted to continue the tradition.
