Big News!

Carson also graduated form the back facing car seat to the front facing car seat- yeah! He thought it was so great and kept laughing and squealing the whole way to our next destination. I love being able to turn around and see this cute face. Now I have two big boys!

Breakfast/Luch

You will notice a lot of these post have to do with food- well it happens to be Carson's favorite thing. We had muffins for breakfast- which he ate a whole one himself and then we went to Chili's for lunch where he had macaroni and cheese which he loved. This child will eat until he gives himself reflux so bad and he starts choking- poor thing. But he won't stop! We put a cute 1st birthday shirt on him today- too bad it was snowing all morning so he had a jacket covering it, but it was so cute.

1 YEAR OLD!!!!

This will have to be done in several blog posts. Our baby turned 1 today!!! I love this little boy- he is so cute and fun! Our day started out with us giving him a whole bunch of books for his birthday- he loves books and you can see them scattered around the floor. Also we blew up a lot of balloons for him. He loves to play with balloons. I was trying to get him dressed while the muffins were baking in the oven and as some of you know Carson has started the great adventure for crawling. He's not great at it yet but he is getting around and enjoying it- he works so hard to get those little legs working. Doesn't he have such a cute baby body!

Sugar Bugs

This wasn't taken yesterday but on last Friday for a wedding we went to. Isn't he sooo handsome. Well Cohen went to the dentist to get his two cavities filled. He was so excited to go and he kept saying- get the sugar bugs off. So cute but little did he know what was in store for him. We had his appt. at 7 am so it was early which was good because he couldn't eat or drink anything that morning. We went in and they gave him quite a big shot in his arm and he cried and in less than a minute he totally glazed over and you couldn't talk to him- it was so sad I cried after they took him back. I of course hadn't slept that night and I didn't eat because I didn't want Cohen to see me eat and not be able to- that is just cruel and unusual. So they didn't end up having to give him the IV I don't think because the medicine was enough and they fixed his cavities, took x-rays and did a cleaning in like 30 minutes. But then he wouldn't wake up for another hour- that was hard you just keep tickling him and poking him and he wouldn't wake up- so sad! Finally he did and Steve had to go back to work so I stayed and took Cohen and Carson to the car and poor Cohen was just out of it and could barely open his eyes. Then he started dry heaving and throwing up (not lots) because he didn't eat. Poor thing! And I was freaking out. So we made it home and I had to get Carson fed and put down for a nap and Cohen was coming out of it a little more- mumbling words and trying to sit up but he would just fall over. After another hour of holding my little guy on the couch he was talking normal and acting normal and wanted to eat- he ate lots of food- and I was like please don't throw up anymore. He kept wanting to walk and play but he would take a couple of steps and fall over- poor thing. Then he took a nap at 12:30 and after two hours he woke up and was perfectly normal- yeah! He was a little more cranky that day but they said that was normal and we went out to buy him new cars and ice cream sandwiches. I love this boy so much and I am so glad he is doing great and is not in any pain. He makes me laugh everyday- he is such a sweetheart!

Today!

I know you are all probably sick of seeing the same blog post so I thought I better stop slacking off!

I was feeding Carson his baby food and Cohen goes "mommy I found a house" and I was like that's nice- and he's like " No mom I found a house" and I turned around and he had shaped his sandwich into a house- I was so proud of that 2 1/2 year old- he is so stinking funny. Doesn't he look so much older in these pictures. It's like he stays the same for 6 months and then all of a sudden grows up! He is constantly saying super cute things. We have been trying to teach him to be polite and say no thank you when he doesn't want something. So on the way home from the grocery store I was like okay Cohen are you ready for a nap and he says "no thank you mommy"! Lets just say he is watching TV instead of napping because how can you deny that!

And here is our sweet almost one year old! This child literally will not stop eating- he will keep eating as long as you are willing to feed him. He is starting to eat solids a little better. And the other BIG NEWS: He is starting to crawl- yeah!!! So not great yet but he is starting to get up on his knees and then lunges himself forward- hahahaha. Once he gets it he is going to be so busy! I love driving in the car with him because he just talks and jabbers to himself the whole time. He is super exhausting at this age- all he wants to do is hold your fingers as he is walking around the house- and he can do it for like 30 minutes and if you put him down or pick him up he starts screaming! Let's just say our backs are sore a lot!

11 months old

I adore our sweet baby Carson! I can't believe he has been with us for almost a year- it has gone by so fast. He makes me laugh all the time and is really starting to develop a personality! This child is so rascally- he is a hand full. And now that he can walk by holding your hands that's all he wants to do!

Some of his favorites:

- Anything that gives him freedom: including walkers and his toy that you walk around and holding your hands to help him walk around. At this point he may never crawl and just go straight to walking- who knows.

- Cohen: that's right he still adores his older brother. Every time Cohen jumps or dances Carson just laughs and smiles- they are best buds- knock on wood!!

- He just returned to talking he now says mama and dada again. And he is saying it more like he knows what it means- such a cute little voice.

- He loves to shake his head no- not in response to no just for fun! He scrunches up his nose and take deep breaths- he makes me laugh!

- He is now eating tiny pieces of bread and his favorite ice cream- he screams for it if you eat it in front of him- he's my sugar baby!

- Has his fourth tooth coming in as we speak- I love the huge gap that he has going on between his two front teeth!

-Smiles at you every time you tell him no- totally innocent, but into everything!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE this boy and can't picture life without him! Thanks for the smiles little man!!

Easter 2010

Easter was really fun with the boys this year. Cohen didn't quite get it but was excited that a bunny came and gave him toys in his Easter basket.
Carson liked it too- we would put eggs in front of him and he pushes them all over the place.
This year the easter bunny brought the kids some toys and candy in their baskets and then hid eggs at Grandma and Grandpa Bowers house. So when we went over for Easter dinner they got to find their eggs. They also got a great book on the true meaning of Easter from Grandma and Grandpa Brough and some clothes and toys from Grandma and Grandpa Bowers! They are lucky kids!
Carson is blurry in this picture because he is shaking his new outfit that he got. He is a busy boy.
Carson loves to hold the eggs and shake them.
Cohen got a new train- he really loves trains right now! Isn't he handsome in his outfit?
Carson is my happy little guy- he was tapping the eggs here- anyway to make noise. And he looks handsome too I must say!

Hunting for Easter eggs!
The day before Easter Cohen and Carson went to an Easter egg hunt that their aunt Holly put together for her neighborhood. Cohen looks miserable in this picture because he was. He woke up Saturday morning with a high fever and wouldn't stop coughing. We had to keep giving him breathing treatments- poor kid did not feel good. That night his fever got up to 102.3 degrees and then it broke and he woke up Easter morning 90% better. Thank heavens! We weren't going to take him to the easter egg hunt, just Carson, but when Cohen saw the kids he wanted to go over! It was fun!

Here are just some cute pictures of Carson playing with balloons- he was so cute holding this balloon. He held for like 10 minute just squeezing it- so funny. My Grandparents came for Easter and it was so fun to see them- they brought the kids some fun toys and these balloons and some outfits. It was so fun to see them and we had a great weekend despite Cohen being sick! Happy Easter everyone!
