Nose Running

The runny nose and coughing- it won't stop. Isn't this the most miserable face- well he is miserable. So it is Thursday and he is as bad as ever. He won't sleep because he is coughing so much and he still doesn't have and appetite. I wish he looked so out of it because he was all drugged up and feeling good, but no such luck. We are only giving him his antibiotic and tylenol once in awhile for fever. His fever is a little lower today, but he still has one! I tried giving him Benadryl and he made himself cough so hard he threw it up. So now I have to go and get Carson up from his nap and take care of two sick kiddos who aren't supposed to be around each other- wish me luck!!

Poor guy! He looks so pitiful!

Have you tried Vicks baby rub? It should help him to breathe a little better. Also there is a baby wash that has that type of stuff in it.

Tylenol rarely works for my kids. It's the Motrin that kicks the fevers for us.

Good luck!

He looks so miserable!!! My guess is you could let them be around each other because they probably both have the same thing now. I say that because he looks like Lindsay did. They never tested her for RSV they just assumed she had it because of her brother. But what you are going through sounds exactly the same. Sadly enough coughing till they puke is actually a good thing (in a way) because it clears their airway. Yucky but then they can breath better. They also told me that Lindsay got too bad go give her a few breathing treatments. And they told me to give her a tsp of Honey and that would help the cough. It helped her and don't worry all of a sudden one day they will just be better. And I agree with Amy Motrin all the way :) It always kicks fevers. Also I tried one of those vicks things that plug into the wall at night. It helped alot. If you need anything please let me know!!

poor baby...that face makes me sad :( try aquaphor for that red under the nose...it's great stuff. Oh and if you can find that Johnson & Johnson Vapo Bath (green bottle) it is great stuff! and I third the motrin...if you have a Sam's or Costco membership you can get it there WAY cheaper than anyplace else. Hang in there and find a way to get out of your house for awhile by yourself...trust me we've all been there!

Hang in there!!! Hopefully they will soon be better. The air in Salt Lake can not help the situation. YUCK YUCK !!! I know that the girls alternate Tylenal and Motrin if the fever is bad. But Motrin does work the best. The vick things that plug in the wall are wonderful. I have even used them. And a trip to Walmart or the grocery store after Steve gets home might do a world of good. Remember how wonderful it is to be a Mom when they are healthy!!!! We Love you
